1. Principles of our privacy notice
Private: We will never share or sell information about you to other companies or third-parties. Your data will not be supplied to anyone except as described in this privacy notice, unless we are obliged by law to disclose it.
Secure: In accordance with the UK Data Protection Act and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) we follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information that you have given us to prevent loss, theft or unauthorised access.
Necessary: We won’t collect information unless it is needed for purposes we have told you about in this privacy policy, to deliver a better service or to give you useful, relevant information.
2. What personal data do we hold?
The personal data we collect and receive about you depends on your interaction with us.
Telephone: If you contact us by telephone, we will make a record of communications for our legitimate interest in making sure we follow your instructions carefully. These records will only be kept for as long as is necessary to follow your instructions.
Email: If you contact us by email, your email record will be kept only for as long as is required to follow your instructions.
Website visitors: If you contact us though our website, usually by completing a form (to register onto a course or to request information), we will use this information (usually your contact details) to provide you with information and training course that you request from us where you have agreed to be contacted for such purposes.
Active learner: If you are a learner registering onto one our courses, we will receive the following information from you about you from either you directly or from your employer:
3. Why do we use your data?
We will use your personal data during your course and for 24 months after it is completed in order to register you onto the relevant course, to administer your course, provide learning materials, evaluate and certificate your course.

ACC will only share your personal information with your employer in order that your training records can be updated.
5. Under what legal basis do we collect/use/share your personal data?
a) Consent: We collect, hold and process your personal data on the basis that you have provided consent for your information to be processed for specific purposes. You can cancel your consent at any time and your details and information will be deleted, by sending an email to amandacollinge@accconsulting.co.uk
b) Legitimate interest: We may collect, hold and process your personal data on the basis of legitimate interest where it is necessary in order for us to fulfil our needs as a business and to be able to provide you with our services.
c) Vital/medical interest: We may use your personal information if we reasonably believe that there is any safety or health issue and that the processing of your information is in your vital interest.
d) Legal obligation: We may use and process your personal data to comply with our legal obligations such as HMRC requirements, or if the Police or a local authority requests it.
e) Contract law: We may process your personal data where it is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party, or at the request of the data subject prior to entering the contract.
6. Your data protection rights
You have the right to update and correct the personal information we hold about you. You also have the right to request from us all personal information that we hold that relates to you, to request restriction of the processing of that data and to request that we delete that data or object to continued processing where it is excessive or no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected. You may also have the right to data portability. If you have a complaint about the way in which we use your personal information you have the right to complain to our Data Protection Officer at the email address below and, if your complaint is not resolved, to the Information Commissioner www.ico.gov.uk.
7. How long will your data be held
Your data will be held for the duration of The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training Contract which is 2 years and for 6 years post-contract. If the contract is extended the data will be held for the duration of the extension plus 6 years.
8. How can you change or delete your data
You have the right to update and correct the personal information we hold about you. You also have the right to request that information held about you is deleted. Simply email amandacollinge@accconsulting.co.uk and we will follow your wishes. Please allow 72 hours for the changes to take effect.
